Rapid River Retreat is located in Turangi with the river running along the end of the road.
A short walk to the end of the road will take you to the stunning river trail loop. Here you will find the crystal clear waters of the Tongariro river, the perfect place to catch trout.
This really is the perfect house to enjoy the outdoor paradise that surrounds, nature walks abound and you’re less than an hour from the mountain and 20 minutes from the Tongariro crossing.

A family bathroom with a shower in the bath. A separate toilet is next to the bathroom.
Please take care on the spiral stairs and note the drop from the seating around the deck. Children to be supervised.
The entire property and grounds are yours alone. Please note the grounds are not fully fenced.

Summary: Perfect sized whare for a whānau of 8 (4 adults and 4 children plus our fur baby). Hot tub was a definite hit and a nice way to unwind after the snow. The indoor fire kept the top level toasty, oil heaters also provided in each room as well. Our fur baby was kept safe with fenced outdoor spaces. Close to the shops and cafes of Tūrangi. The spiral staircase was also a hit with the older mokos. Clean, comfy and private.
